DEAR AND RESPECTED RADHA KRISHNAN JI LAST MONTH I HAVE VISITED A VERY OLD AND ANCIENT SHIVA TEMPLE AT IRUKKANTHURAI VILLAGE AND FOUND SOME RARE STONE INSCRIPTIONS WHICH REVEALS IT BELONGS TO GREAT RAJENDRA CHOLA AND THE PRESENT SILENT VILLAGE IS ONCE UPON A BUSY PORT CONSISTS OF PANJAL PATTINAM AND PERUMANAL SEA SHORE.. THE GREAT THOMAS DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST AND ST. XAVIER VISITED AND STAYED. IT IS A PORTUGESE TOWN EARLIER.
